ruveyda kaki was born in Bursa in 1997. In 2022, she graduated from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Medicine and continues to work as a doctor in Istanbul. Throughout her education, she has been closely interested in the disciplines of cinema, theater, philosophy, psychology, and sociology and has developed an interdisciplinary understanding in her artistic adventure. 

 

In the field of visual arts, she has started to produce analog and digital collages and draws inspiration from different fields such as plastic arts and cinema. Kakı, uses the power of the imagination in her collage practice to present a deconstructive storytelling around the concepts of power, authority, "femininity", social norms and boundaries. At the same time, she manages to transform her profession as a doctor into nourishing content in her art.
